2008 Subaru Legacy 2.5i Transmission jerk?

I just bought a 2008 Legacy 2.5i 56k ,automatic and every time I come to a stop it lurches from 2nd to 1st. I'm not quite sure what is causing this or where to even begin. Any insight on how this problem is greatly appreciated!
