What would he think about hanging out?

Last summer I met a great person. We went to a camp together, and had a lot of funny memories. I use to not have a facebook, so when camp was over, I thought I would never see him again. Well I recently got a facebook, secretly, my parents dont know about. I FOUND HIM!!! I asked him he remembered me and he said he remembers all those memories but can't place the face. I sent him a picture off of facebook, and it seemed like he flirted a lil bit:) Well i want to ask him to go hang out with my best friend and I, and he told me he was single. Would he think that would be weird? I mean it wouldn't necessarily be considered a date. We would just, i guess re-meet. how should I ask? what if he says no. I am afraid of rejection and don't go out of my way like this. My friend says it would be good experience. Help Me Out Please!!!
